Extra Virgin Olive oil from the Sorrento Peninsula in Italy has the honour of holding D.O.P. (Denomination of Origin Protection) status. Sorrento is famous for it's beauty and Neapolitan cuisine. The products from Sorrentolio are no exception to this. The Olive groves from this family owned enterprise are over 100 years old, and after being hand picked, the Olives are then squeezed within a few hours to produce this incredible Olive Oil. They say that the proximity to the sea, the Olive groves growing on the cliff tops and the volcanic soils they grow in are the key to this unique range of products from Sorrentolio. Sorrentolio specialise in the production and processing of products regarded in the area as works of gastronomic art, and products made to authentic recipes and practices that in some cases are becoming extinct.
