Kirkfood is a family business that was established in 1985 as a wholesale food company. We initially set up business as Kirks Selected Cheeses, the distribution team to bring you the products from the King Island Dairy. In those days we had 6 products on our list. Today we are known as kirkfood and we offer almost 800 high quality products used by chefs throughout Melbourne and Sydney.
Our business is built around a passion for good food. In the family tradition of giving and receiving unconditional love, our passion for food is also unconditional: we have room in our hearts (and in our stomachs!) for all fine food. We pride ourselves on our family traditions of this shared passion for quality food and the belief in quality service being the foundation upon which a business should be built.
Our values are simple: good food and good service. kirkfood have traditionally serviced hotels, restaurants, caterers and retail operators in Melbourne and Sydney with high quality and often exotic food ingredients, in particular local and imported cheese. In Melbourne and Sydney, in most cases, we offer service daily. Our network of distributors covers most areas of New South Wales and Victoria with representation in Queensland.
