Hi Liz, regarding dairy products made from unpasteurised raw milk including the sale of raw milk itself for human consumption, the current legislation forbids this. Indeed, it is also forbidden under Australian food laws to import products made from raw milk with the exception of a few hard cheeses like Grana Padano, Regianno, Gruyere and a few others which are considered low risk. There is a big push to change this legislation, but the wheels of government turn slowly, and it would seem, particularly slowly on this matter.
The Slow Food Movement in Australia has a petition going to get these laws changed. You may want to contact them should you wish to join the cause.
