The diesel Fiat Punto cleaned up at Calder over the weekend, securing wins C and D class. According to Phil, "3 perfect starts and 3 perfect finishes". It was also a weekend of records being set. The diesel Fiat Punto is the first to be raced in a national championship and they managed to take out maximum points for the event as well.
The little orange diesel rocket captured the attention of the media and Phil Advises that he was engaged in a lengthy interview which should be aired on TV this week.
"The camera captured some fantastic pictures of us racing & scrapping with a Proton but at times getting the better of it" said Phil. The diesel Fiat Punto was the only car carrying an on board camera for the event so as soon as we get a copy of the footage we'll be posting a link to YouTube of all the in car action.
The next round will be at Wakefield Park in 4 weeks time. Phil's wish list for events includes the Bathurst 12 hours and of course, another shot at Targa 2008.
